Whole Blood Derivatives

In addition to our Packed Red Blood Cells (PRBC’S), BioChemed Services can collect other blood derivatives, including Leukocytes, Peripheral Blood Mononuclear Cells (PBMC’S), Buffy Coats, etc. according to your specifications. Products from certain disease-states are also available-please inquire with your specifications to determine feasibility and availability.

Leukocytes are available through whole blood collections, as well as leukapheresis-please inquire with your requirements.

PBMC’S are available either Fresh or Cryopreserved.

You may also order these derivatives by a minimum number of cells you need for your applications.

These cell products are available in any anticoagulant of your choice, and from any of the available blood types: A, B, O, and AB.

• Shelf life: approximately 30 days with most anticoagulants if stored between 2°C and 5° C
• Five (5) year shelf life for products that are kept at -80C (i.e. PBMC’S)

• Product is collected and shipped the same day as collection for most derivatives to arrive at your facility first thing the following morning-this helps maintain cell viability
• Upon request, we may be able to ship to your facility on the same day of collection
