BioChemed Services offers many normal and disease-state tissues for your drug development and discovery studies. All the tissues are stored in monitored and regulated biorepositories throughout our extensive domestic network of hospitals and medical universities. These specimens come with individual case report forms, each replete with donor information and medical history. Most of our tissues are collected prospectively according to your requirements. As always, our specimens are de-identified prior to shipping to you, maintaining donor confidentiality as mandated by HIPAA regulations.
We can collect tissues from donors that meet your specific requirements. We work closely with both the investigators and the clinical sites to ensure your tissues are harvested under the specifications you provide.
We can provide frozen tissues, as well as FFPE blocks. Some tissues may be available as slides-please inquire with your particular needs for these.
Our normal tissues are all consented. They are harvested from tissue banks throughout the continental United States using standard Tissue Banking procurement protocols. BioChemed Services can harvest tissues post-mortem in as little as 8 hours after death according to your particular needs. Each tissue comes with a comprehensive Case Report Form (CRF).
We have thousands of various treatment-naïve tumors in our biorepositories that are accompanied by very thorough CRF’s. Due to the increasing demand in the biopharma and biotech industries for matching sets of tissues and blood derivatives, we are looking to expand our tissue offerings to include blood, plasma, serum, etc., which will enhance your studies outcomes by being able to compare results from various bio-components from the same donor.
All orders will be custom prepared. Preparations can include, but are not limited to, formalin fixation, paraffin imbedded blocks, flash freezing (with and without fixatives) and slides for microscopy. Tissues are suitable for immunohistochemistry and DNA applications. For RNA applications, please call for feasibility.
