Specially Treated Sera
Gamma Radiation:
All gamma- irradiated sera receives a dose of not less than 2.8 Mrad as suggested by the USDA.
The serum is treated under contract at an approved ISO 9000 and GMP facility. This dosage has
been shown to result in a 5 log clearance in potential bovine viral contaminates: BVD, IBM, BR,
PARIAH, except PPV (Parvoviridae). The serum is not retested after treatment.
