Recovered Human Plasma:
Individual Units

Recovered from Whole Blood donations using AABB guidelines. Most closely imitates the specimens coming from clinical sites performing clinical trials. Collections are kept as individual units and not pooled with plasma from other donors.

  • All plasmas are collected in commercial FDA licensed facilities and must pass all current applicable FDA-mandated tests for infectious pathogens. These include HIV, Hepatitis and Syphilis.

  • Aliquots can be collected with each unit as a “tester” to determine if that unit is suitable for a particular application. This will help reduce the number of freeze-thaw cycles that the bulk unit undergoes.

PEM = Pre-menopausal women (on or off hormone modalities, including birth control)
POM = Post-menopausal women (on or off hormone replacement therapies)
SMK = Smokers
NF = Nicotine Free
CD = Caffeine Free
DF = Drug Free (Please specify drug)
LIP = Lipemic
FAST = Fasted
