NOTE: Although these SCAT blood collection tubes might appear to be standard phlebotomy blood collection tubes, they are NOT STERILE. Therefore, direct collection is recommended into the tube through a catheter that is at least five inches in length and equipped with a multi-sample luer adapter (MSLA). This will eliminate the possibility of a back-flush from the non-sterile tube to the patient.
Sterile tubes are available on request.
